This year’s road trip certainly saw its fair share of complications.

We got pulled over by a cop in Utah for having tinted windows. We were blinded by a freak snowstorm in Colorado while passing through the Rocky Mountains. In Chicago, our car was the victim of a hit-and-run in a parking lot. While parked.

But we’ve also had some fantastic experiences. We saw the Cubs win huge at Wrigley. In Denver, we dined on cheese croquettes with raspberry sauce and drank Chimay Triple. We got soaked doing doughnuts in a jet boat on the Niagara River. Kit even rekindled an old friendship along the banks of the Mississippi.

I’m not sure what’ll do for an encore, but it may have to involve scooters and a Fall foliage tour through New England. Wolverines!
